Biden Administration's Immigration Failures Leave Americans Vulnerable

The Biden-Harris administration's handling of immigration enforcement has come under fire, with new data revealing dramatic declines in the removal of illegal migrants, particularly those with criminal backgrounds.

According to a comprehensive report by the National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE), deportation numbers have plummeted since President Trump left office.

In fact, during the first three fiscal years under Biden and Harris, there were only 273,708 removals of illegal migrants, a stark contrast to the 749,462 removals carried out in the same timeframe under the Trump administration.

This significant reduction includes convicted criminals, with removals of criminal aliens dropping by 74%.

The numbers are telling: while there were 423,102 removals of criminal migrants during Trump's tenure, this figure has fallen to just 134,617 under the current leadership.

Kamala Harris and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have continuously claimed that ICE is more focused on criminal aliens.

However, data clearly illustrates a failure to follow through, raising concerns about their policies that have made it easier for many unlawful residents— including those with a criminal history—to remain in the country.

Despite a notable increase in border encounters, which skyrocketed from 2.3 million under Trump to nearly 8 million under Biden, the administration's enforcement actions have dropped significantly.

Under Trump, ICE managed to remove illegal aliens at a rate of 32% of the total encounters, while the Biden administration has managed a mere 3.5% removal rate.

The data indicates that the drastic reduction in ICE’s operational capacity has left many communities vulnerable to the impacts of criminal migration.

With immigration emerging as a central issue in the upcoming presidential campaign, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are reportedly neck-and-neck in polls.

Interestingly, Harris has begun to shift her stance on border security as she seeks to solidify support in the face of increasing scrutiny from voters.

Once a staunch opponent of strict immigration policies, Harris now claims to back consequences for unlawful entries. She even recently called for stronger asylum restrictions, suggesting awareness of shifting public sentiment on this critical issue.

As voters increasingly demand accountability and effective policies that prioritize American safety, the performance of the current administration in immigration enforcement will undoubtedly be a focal point in the upcoming election.
