In a bold move, the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has pledged to sue the New York Police Department to protect former President Donald Trump's concealed carry license following his felony conviction in the hush money trial. The organization's founder, Alan M. Gottlieb, emphasized their willingness to challenge the law to safeguard Trump's ownership of firearms.

Despite the state law prohibiting convicted felons from holding firearm permits, SAF maintains the stance that individuals should not lose their gun rights due to non-violent crimes. Gottlieb argued that Trump, with no history of violent offenses, should not be stripped of his Second Amendment rights, citing the need for reform in gun rights legislation.

Should SAF proceed with legal action against the NYPD, they are well-equipped with experience, having numerous active cases and successful outcomes in the U.S. Supreme Court. The foundation's commitment to "Winning Gun Rights One Lawsuit at a Time" extends to protecting and securing Trump's gun rights amidst the legal challenges he faces.

As reported by Fox News Digital, SAF and Trump's campaign have not yet commented on the matter.
