Sen. Ted Cruz, a vocal Republican from Texas, didn't hold back when he declared that the key to securing the southern border lies in electing former President Donald Trump and other Republicans this year. During the "Special Report: Border In Crisis" hosted by Just The News and AMAC, Cruz emphasized the importance of winning in November.

"The only way to change this is to elect Donald Trump as president, to elect a Senate majority," Cruz asserted, highlighting the crucial opportunity to shift the balance in Congress. The criticism against the Biden administration from Republican lawmakers stems from the influx of illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border since Biden took office.

Under Biden's watch, the Department of Homeland Security disclosed a concerning surge in the backlog of tracking and vetting illegal aliens in the U.S., surpassing six million. Additionally, the apprehension of suspected terrorists and violent offenders has witnessed a significant spike.

Cruz remained resolute in his stance, affirming that a Republican-controlled White House, Senate, and House in the upcoming year would lead to a secured border. In contrast, he expressed skepticism about the current administration's ability to address the border crisis adequately under President Joe Biden, predicting a continued vulnerability at the border.
