**Wokeness Reigns: Survey Reveals That Many Churchgoers Have Doubts About Biblical Teachings on Morality**

A distressing new survey reveals a troubling trend among churchgoers, highlighting significant confusion regarding key biblical teachings, particularly on the matter of sexuality.

Conducted by the Family Research Council in partnership with the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, the findings show that only 47 percent of regular church attendees believe the Bible provides clear guidance on the morality of homosexuality.

This figure marks a steep decline from 63 percent just two years ago, indicating a worrisome shift away from foundational Christian principles.

The survey echoes similar drops in confidence regarding other pivotal moral issues, including marriage and the sanctity of life.

For example, support for the Bible’s stance on abortion has plummeted from 65 percent to 51 percent, while the definition of legitimate marriage—as a union between one man and one woman—has decreased from 75 percent to 65 percent.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, attributes this decline primarily to a failure among church leaders to adequately teach biblical truths from the pulpit.

He notes that many pastors are wary of offending congregants with controversial subjects, leaving a vacuum that is swiftly being filled by modern secular culture.

This cultural appropriation doesn't just stop at moral issues; it's a broader movement seeking to redefine repentance as acknowledging "privilege" rather than turning away from sin.

Instances have emerged across various congregations where traditional teachings have been challenged or outright dismantled in favor of more "inclusive" and progressive ideologies.

At Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, North Carolina, for instance, a new pastor allied with a major Southern Baptist network fundamentally altered the church's longstanding ministries under the guise of enhancing inclusivity.

Moreover, churches like McLean Bible Church in Virginia have faced internal strife over leadership decisions that shift doctrinal teachings to align more closely with social justice narratives, often at the expense of traditional biblical standards.

This shift toward wokeness within not only political realms but spiritual ones raises serious concerns among conservatives who view these transformations as detrimental to the very core of Christian faith.

However, amidst these disconcerting trends, there are positive indicators of steadfast resolve among churchgoers.

Despite the erosion of clarity on specific teachings, a staggering 79 percent of church attendees affirm that there are only two genders recognized by God.

Furthermore, 68 percent still believe in the traditional definition of marriage, emphasizing the enduring significance of family as designed by Scripture.

The data from this survey serves as both a warning and a rallying cry for churches to return to systematic teaching of the Bible to counteract the creeping influence of secularism within the church walls.

As the cultural attack on biblical values intensifies, it is critical for congregations to reclaim their identity, ensure that the truth of Scripture reigns supreme, and resist the tide of wokeness threatening to reshape their spiritual foundation.
