**Tragedy Unfolds: Sanctuary State Policies Allow Chronic Criminal to Kill Six**

In a shocking and preventable tragedy, an illegal immigrant has been charged with the murder of six individuals due to California's reckless sanctuary state policies.

On September 7, 2025, Beto Cerillo-Bialva, who has been deported a staggering seven times, drove under the influence of alcohol, resulting in a catastrophic crash that claimed the lives of six passengers and severely injured another.

Despite facing numerous legal troubles, including multiple DUIs, domestic abuse charges, and a history of drug possession, Cerillo-Bialva was not detained due to the failure of local authorities to honor an immigration detainer lodged by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following his third DUI arrest.

Assistant Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin, stated, “This serial criminal killed six innocent souls. Governor Gavin Newsom has blood on his hands.”

The tragic incident not only brought to light the dangers posed by unmonitored illegal immigrants but also underscored the consequences of California's sanctuary policies, which refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

“Sanctuary policies protect the WORST OF THE WORST criminal illegal aliens,” McLaughlin added, emphasizing that these policies endanger innocent lives.

Former President Donald Trump's administration prioritized border security and the removal of dangerous criminal elements from the nation, focusing on public safety. In stark contrast, the current Democratic leadership has consistently demonstrated a blatant disregard for the repercussions of their lax immigration stance.

Tom Homan, who served as acting director of ICE during Trump’s presidency, urged Newsom and other officials to acknowledge the work of ICE agents. “You’re welcome for us making your communities safer,” he remarked, pointing out the irony of sanctuary states benefiting from federal law enforcement while actively opposing it.

As this tragedy reverberates throughout California and beyond, it raises crucial questions about responsibility, accountability, and the need for a more rigorous approach to immigration enforcement.

With Trump now back in office as the 47th President of the United States, one can expect a renewed focus on reversing the detrimental policies that enable such preventable tragedies. The American people deserve safety and security, and ensuring that those who pose a danger are removed from our streets must be a top priority.
