**China's Digital Intrusions: A Growing Threat to America**

As concerns mount over Chinese influence in global affairs, a new report has raised alarming questions about the potential risks posed by Chinese technology firms operating within the United States.

The AI company DeepSeek, based in China, is reportedly funneling American user data to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

This revelation comes from a congressional report released by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, which emphasizes serious national security implications.

DeepSeek, described as an artificial intelligence firm, is alleged to be collecting a wealth of information from American users, including their chat histories, device details, and typing patterns. Even more troubling is the company's reported reliance on China Mobile's backend infrastructure, a state-owned telecommunications giant already flagged by the Pentagon for its ties to Beijing's military.

The relationship DeepSeek has with China Mobile, which has previously been banned from operating in the United States due to national security concerns, raises red flags about the safety of American data privacy.

According to the report, DeepSeek’s AI chatbot has shown a disturbing 85% alignment with CCP censorship directives, altering or suppressing responses to politically sensitive questions. For instance, inquiries about Taiwan were met with vague responses. This indicates a systematic effort by the company to promote the narratives of the Chinese regime, effectively silencing truths that contradict its propaganda.

This manipulation of information is reminiscent of other Chinese firms like TikTok, which have also been scrutinized for their data collection and potential risks to U.S. national security.

Former President Donald Trump had previously taken a stand against this type of foreign intrusion, implementing measures to ensure that American data would not fall into the hands of our adversaries. His administration’s decisive action against ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, aimed to mitigate any potential threat of espionage or data misuse by the CCP.

As the current administration grapples with these pressing issues, it is imperative that lawmakers take a unified stance against companies that facilitate China’s aggressive attempts to infiltrate our digital landscape. The time for robust action is now, as the safety and sovereignty of American citizens hang in the balance.

It is crucial for Congress to implement stringent regulations that safeguard American data from foreign adversaries and hold companies accountable for their complicity in advancing the interests of the CCP.

As we stand witness to this unfolding crisis, the resolution will not only require vigilance but a steadfast commitment to prioritizing American values and national security over appeasement. The Chinese threats are real, and Americans deserve leaders who will confront them head-on.
