**Fossil Fuels: The Unbeatable Energy Source in the Face of Climate Hysteria**

A recent report reveals a staggering reality: despite the massive investments made in renewable energy, fossil fuels are still set to dominate the global energy landscape for the foreseeable future.

According to J.P. Morgan's latest findings, an astonishing $9 trillion has been spent since 2010 on transitioning away from fossil fuels in favor of wind, solar, and other renewable alternatives. This vigorous push, largely funded by taxpayers, has only resulted in a meager 0.3% to 0.6% increase in the market share of carbon-free energy sources each year.

Michael Cembalest, the Chairman of Market and Investment Strategy at J.P. Morgan, emphasized that our modern lifestyle remains deeply tied to fossil fuels. Contrary to what many in the mainstream media would have us believe, approximately 80% of the energy used in critical industries—like chemicals, steel, and cement—comes from fossil fuels.

Cembalest argues that the problem lies not with the potential of renewable sources but with the current pace of transition, which he estimates will not result in a carbon-free world until sometime after the year 2200 if we continue on this trajectory.

While solar power capacity is indeed increasing—now accounting for two-thirds of all new generation—it's important to recognize that electricity comprises merely a third of total energy consumption. Alarmingly, solar currently contributes around 2% to total final energy consumption, suggesting that we still rely heavily on fossil fuels for the majority of our energy needs, a trend likely to continue well into the future.

The report’s conclusions echo those presented in the Energy Institute’s “Statistical Review of World Energy,” which found that coal, natural gas, and oil continue to be our primary energy sources, with coal consumption reaching record highs in 2023—a reality that refutes the liberal narrative of an imminent energy revolution.

As Democrats push for aggressive climate policies that often overlook practical realities, it serves as a reminder that the journey to a greener future needs to be approached with a level of realism. The current energy transition must not neglect the foundational role of fossil fuels in keeping our economy and daily lives intact.

In the face of a politically charged climate debate, it’s time to accept these facts and acknowledge that transitioning away from fossil fuels is not only impractical but also potentially harmful to our economy and energy independence.

Under the leadership of President Trump, America has a unique opportunity to prioritize energy policies that keep fossil fuels as a cornerstone of our energy strategy while steadily investing in new technologies that make sense for both the economy and our environment.

The report serves as a critical wake-up call, reinforcing that the future of energy must acknowledge the strengths of fossil fuels alongside the promise of renewables, ensuring a balanced and pragmatic approach to energy policy in America.
