**Tragedy Unfolds: Illegal Migrant Arrested for Murdering Infant Daughter in Long Island**

In yet another harrowing instance highlighting the urgent need for stricter immigration policies, a 20-year-old illegal migrant from Guatemala has been arrested in New York for the brutal murder of his two-month-old daughter.

Marlon Rabanales-Pretzantzin is accused of violently beating baby Liseyda Rabanales-Barrios, resulting in her death, after he lost affection for her, suspecting he was not her biological father.

The gruesome details of the case are disturbing.

According to law enforcement officials, Rabanales-Pretzantzin committed a horrific assault on the infant, which included slapping her in the face, punching her in the stomach, and violently shaking her.

He then allegedly threw her onto a bed and pressed his fist into her chest, causing catastrophic injuries, including broken ribs and a fractured vertebra in her neck.

Authorities were notified when someone in the residence made a 911 call claiming that the baby had rolled off the bed.

However, subsequent investigations unveiled the shocking reality of what had transpired.

An autopsy conducted by a medical examiner determined that Liseyda died from homicide.

The Nassau County Police expressed their outrage over the incident, especially considering Rabanales-Pretzantzin’s prior apprehension by Border Patrol last year, after crossing the Mexican border illegally.

Despite being detained, he was inexplicably released back into the United States.

“This individual should not have been in this country in the first place,” lamented Nassau County Police Detective Captain Stephen Fitzpatrick.

His arrest has reignited concerns over the current immigration policies that allow individuals like Rabanales-Pretzantzin to slip through the cracks of a failing system, potentially endangering the lives of American citizens and their children.

As the community grapples with this unimaginable tragedy, it stands as a testament to the pressing need for comprehensive immigration reform that prioritizes public safety.

Rabanales-Pretzantzin is currently being held without bail as authorities prepare for legal proceedings.

This heartbreaking case serves as a grim reminder of the consequences of lax immigration enforcement—a problem that must be addressed to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.
