San Diego Overwhelmed by Illegal Migration Crisis

Illegal migrants are overwhelming San Diego, raising serious concerns about the efficacy of border management under the current administration.

Recent reports reveal that between September 2023 and June 2024, approximately 155,000 illegal migrants, predominantly single adult males, were released into San Diego County by federal authorities. This influx has alarmed local officials, including San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, who cites a growing invasion by the Biden-Harris regime.

Supervisor Desmond has rightly raised concerns about the federal government’s handling of the situation, stating, “Border Patrol was overwhelmed, so what they were doing was just dropping off the healthy adults, age 18 to 35, here in San Diego County.” This indicates a troubling trend of releasing single men onto the streets with no immediate plans for their care or tracking, effectively abandoning them in the community.

Shockingly, about 90% of those released from Border Patrol facilities eventually vanish from San Diego County, heading to other areas of the country without any oversight. This raises questions about the implications for security and public resources, further compounded by the fact that many of these individuals are unvetted.

Desmond highlighted the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) funded by taxpayers, which are instrumental in facilitating the onward journey of these migrants to other states. The supervisor asserts that this represents a blatant attempt by the administration to manipulate perceptions before the upcoming elections, by quietly transferring migrants rather than addressing the border crisis head-on.

As the number of illegal crossings continues to rise, including alarming incidents reported along California beaches, the threat of unchecked immigration looms larger. With a new Republican administration on the horizon, many are hopeful that decisive action will be taken to restore order, secure the borders, and put Americans’ safety first.

The concerning developments in San Diego are a stark reminder that the state of our borders is a critical issue that must be proactively addressed. With many Americans losing faith in the administration’s ability to manage immigration effectively, a return to strong, principled leadership is essential for the country's security and prosperity.
