**Corruption at the Texas Medical Board Exposed: Call for Accountability Grows**

A shocking revelation has surfaced regarding ethical breaches within the Texas Medical Board (TMB), igniting calls for action from Republican lawmakers and pro-life advocates.

Robert Bredt, the medical director of the TMB, is accused of holding a blatant conflict of interest due to his previous work with Planned Parenthood, raising serious questions about the integrity of the board’s operations.

This scandal began to unfold as it was discovered that Bredt had been employed by a Planned Parenthood lab prior to his role at the TMB, which he held since 2012.

State Representative Briscoe Cain (R-TX) was quick to demand action, calling for Bredt’s immediate termination once these conflicts were publicly exposed.

Despite the outcry, Bredt managed to retire quietly on January 7, raising concerns about accountability and transparency within the medical oversight body.

Operation Rescue's president, Troy Newman, expressed dismay at the situation, citing a troubling history where complaints regarding the oversight of abortion facilities were seemingly ignored under Bredt’s leadership.

Highlighting a particularly disturbing case, Newman pointed out the lack of action against abortionist Doug Karpen, who was accused by multiple clinic workers of horrific practices, including the murder of babies born alive during procedures.

“This presents a shocking ethical conflict,” Newman stated, reinforcing the need for a medical board that operates without such biases.

The catalyst for Bredt’s exit was a complaint case involving another Texas doctor’s use of ivermectin to treat COVID patients, wherein Bredt was introduced as an expert witness.

In light of his retirement, Representative Brian Harrison (R-TX) has vowed to investigate the hiring practices of the TMB and may propose legislation aimed at defunding the board altogether.

Texas has already taken significant steps to protect unborn children and eliminate Planned Parenthood's involvement in state healthcare.

Following the exposure of Bredt’s conflict of interest, there is renewed momentum among conservative lawmakers to ensure ethical integrity in public health agencies.

Supporters of the pro-life movement are hopeful that Texas can serve as a model for other states by maintaining rigorous standards for oversight and accountability.

As the dust settles within the TMB, one thing is clear: the demand for transparency and integrity in healthcare oversight is stronger than ever. The call for a thorough investigation and potential reform is resonating throughout the state.
