Biden's Last Minute Moves to Erode Immigration Enforcement

The Biden administration is reportedly making significant moves to undermine the robust deportation strategies expected to be reinstated by President-elect Donald Trump.

Just days before Trump takes office, the administration is pushing through a series of policy changes that critics argue will impede immigration enforcement efforts.

Among these changes is the introduction of a new mobile application by the Department of Homeland Security, which is designed to allow illegal immigrants to check in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) remotely.

This decision has raised concerns among immigration officials, who argue that the app is both “glitchy and unreliable” and could enable illegal immigrants to evade the watchful eye of federal authorities.

Currently, in-person check-ins allow ICE agents to review records, check for past arrests, and ensure that immigrants provide proof of their current address.

The new app, however, lacks these essential features, which are critical to national security and immigration enforcement.

Further complicating matters, the app is not even compatible with Android devices and can only collect location data for seven days when accessed. Critics have pointed out that this insufficient tracking capability will make it easier for individuals to go missing during the immigration process.

Additionally, there’s a proposed policy change that would allow illegal immigrants to challenge the government's ability to monitor them via electronic tracking devices, such as ankle bracelets, while they await immigration hearings.

Mark Morgan, former acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, warned that the current administration appears intent on creating as many obstacles as possible as it faces the prospect of a new leadership committed to enforcing immigration laws.

As Trump prepares to assume office, the urgency to restore order and tackle illegal immigration has never been clearer.

The actions taken by the Biden administration in these final days stand in stark contrast to the principles of law and order, revealing a deeply entrenched ideology that prioritizes leniency over enforcement.

With Trump's return to the White House, many conservatives remain hopeful that a more rigorous approach to immigration will be reinstated, seeking to reclaim control of the nation's borders and uphold the rule of law.
