Hamas Must Be Eradicated, Not Empowered

In the face of ongoing violence and turmoil in the Middle East, the urgent call for the defeat of Hamas grows clearer by the day.

The terror organization, which has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to the obliteration of Israel, has been emboldened by misguided attempts at political legitimacy.

Recent discussions between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA), led by Mahmoud Abbas, illustrate a dangerous trend of recognizing an entity that should rightfully be shunned.

Negotiations in Cairo aimed at establishing a joint administration for Gaza signal an alarming willingness to confer legitimacy on a group that has waged war against innocent civilians and perpetrated unspeakable acts of violence.

Since Hamas violently seized control of Gaza in 2007, it has not only launched attacks against Israel but has also subjected its own people to brutal rule and exploitation.

The recent October 7 attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 Israelis, reminded the world of the extent of Hamas's depravity.

Despite this, the PA appears to be making excuses for Hamas, opting instead for a strategy of collaboration rather than condemnation.

Abbas's dialogues with the terror group send a dangerous message: that engaging with mass murderers is a viable path forward.

For many Palestinians, the consequences have been dire. Under Hamas's regime, they have suffered a humanitarian crisis while the terror group has invested in its military apparatus rather than the well-being of its own people.

Internationally, the Biden administration must realign its approach.

By allowing political negotiations with Hamas, the administration risks legitimizing a group that embodies terror and chaos.

Israel has made significant strides in depleting Hamas's military capabilities since the latest conflict erupted, marking a crucial step in securing long-term peace and stability.

However, without the unequivocal support of global allies and a commitment to dismantle Hamas altogether, the path to peace remains obstructed.

It is imperative that the PA take a bold stance against Hamas, holding them accountable for the devastation they have caused.

Abbas should focus on peace and reconciliation rather than validate a terror group that operates with blatant disregard for human life.

A decisive victory against Hamas is not just essential for Israel; it is a critical need for the safety and future of the Palestinian people as well.

As long as Iran continues to back Hamas and other terror entities, stability in the region will remain out of reach.

The fight against Hamas must be relentless and uncompromising, with the understanding that any other approach is merely a temporary fix that ultimately undermines the prospects for peace.

The future holds the potential for genuine peace, but only if Hamas is stripped of its power and influence.

For both Israelis and Palestinians, a world without Hamas is the key to unlocking a brighter future.
