**Hypocrisy Exposed: DOJ Attacks Virginia’s Effort to Ensure Election Integrity**

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin recently faced off against CNN host Jake Tapper regarding a controversial lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) aimed at halting Virginia’s systematic removal of non-citizens from its voter rolls.

The DOJ claims that Virginia's actions contravene the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) by purging potential non-citizens from voter rolls within 90 days of an election, which they argue poses risks of disenfranchising eligible voters.

However, Governor Youngkin effectively dismantled this narrative during his televised interview, pointing out that Virginia's method for identifying non-citizens has been in place since 2006 under past Democratic administrations, including that of former governor Tim Kaine.

Youngkin asserted that the state utilizes vehicle registration data to identify individuals who self-report as non-citizens, subsequently notifying those individuals and providing them with a 14-day window to confirm their citizenship status before removal from the voter rolls.

The governor questioned the sudden urgency of the DOJ following an established protocol that had already been overseen by various administrations, asking why such scrutiny had not occurred in the past two decades. He stated, "This has been on our books since 2006 and utilized successfully under both Democrat and Republican leadership. Why is it suddenly a federal issue?"

Tapper’s attempts to corner Youngkin on the timing of the action fell flat, as the governor emphasized the importance of maintaining election integrity by ensuring that only American citizens participate in elections. He noted the absurdity of allowing self-identified non-citizens to remain on voter rolls, questioning, “Should non-citizens be allowed to vote?”

Virginia's approach has revealed a significant disparity in the way the Biden administration and its DOJ handle voter registration issues, raising concerns of bias and political motivation. Youngkin's remarks underscored frustrations among conservatives who feel that their rightful efforts to secure electoral processes are being undermined for political gain.

As the election approaches, the question lingers: Why is the DOJ so invested in preserving the voter rolls of individuals who have identified themselves as non-citizens?

The underlying implication is clear—an effort to impede states like Virginia from guaranteeing a lawful voting process is part of a broader agenda to maintain a loose electoral environment.

Youngkin's commitment to enforcing laws that protect American voter rights sets a compelling precedent in a national conversation that seems increasingly dominated by partisan rhetoric rather than earnest efforts to uphold democratic principles.

As Election Day approaches, conservatives across the nation will continue to advocate for election integrity, ensuring that the voices of legitimate citizens are upheld in the democratic process.
