Biden Administration Prioritizes Illegals Over Disaster Victims

Deception

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently faced backlash after making a dubious claim regarding FEMA's funding practices during a press briefing.

She asserted that funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency were not being allocated to house illegal immigrants.

Despite her vehement denial, it is well-documented that FEMA has indeed diverted taxpayer dollars for this purpose, especially under the Biden administration.

In a troubling situation following Hurricane Helene, which tragically resulted in over 160 fatalities, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas pointed out the lack of sufficient funds to sustain FEMA's operations.

In stark contrast to Jean-Pierre’s assertions, FEMA has earmarked a staggering $360 million for fiscal year 2023 to support the housing of unauthorized migrants. This figure is projected to escalate to $650 million in fiscal year 2024, raising serious questions about the agency's priorities.

FEMA's "Shelter and Services Program" is designed to provide essential resources such as food, transportation, and medical care for noncitizen migrants recently released from custody.

This program notably includes provisions for temporary accommodations, even specifying funding for hotel and motel services for up to 45 days per individual or family.

While Americans are grappling with the consequences of natural disasters, the Biden administration continues to prioritize illegal immigration support over the needs of citizens.

The underlying issue has sparked outrage among many Americans who feel that their hard-earned tax dollars should be used to assist those in need during crises instead of accommodating those who have entered the country unlawfully.

As Hurricane Helene's aftermath exposes failings in disaster response, it becomes increasingly clear that the current administration's focus on migrant resettlement may come at the expense of genuine emergency management.

With FEMA unable to fully address the needs of hurricane victims while simultaneously catering to illegal immigrants, many Americans are left to wonder what the true priorities of this administration are.

It is an alarming situation that deserves immediate attention and accountability from those in power.
