Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly in talks to appear at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, where former President Donald Trump is also set to speak. This would mark the first time Harris and Trump have been at the same event since she took over the Democratic nomination from President Joe Biden.

Trump has previously signaled his support for the crypto industry, accepting campaign donations in cryptocurrency and pledging to be the country's first "crypto president." Some Bitcoin enthusiasts believe that Trump would create a U.S. strategic reserve of Bitcoin if he retakes office.

Meanwhile, Harris has reportedly reached out to billionaire Mark Cuban with "multiple questions" on cryptocurrency as she prepares to take on Trump in the presidential election. Cuban has asserted that several Silicon Valley CEOs are endorsing Trump due to his support of Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry.

The wider cryptocurrency market has seen increased political acceptance and drastic growth this year, with the price of Bitcoin reaching a new all-time high of just under $74,000 after the Security and Exchange Commission approved exchange-traded funds for Bitcoin. Ethereum exchange-traded funds also recently hit the market, bringing more positive news for the industry.

However, Harris' supporters have expressed concerns about her potential loss to Trump in the election, with some fearing that it could cause PTSD among Democrat women. President Biden announced on Sunday that he was ending his bid for reelection, offering his full support and endorsement for Harris to be the nominee of the Democratic Party.

Trump has previously stated that Harris would be an easier candidate to defeat in November than Biden. According to a Quinnipiac poll, Trump leads Harris nationally with double-digit advantages among young voters and independents.

It remains to be seen whether Harris will ultimately appear at the Bitcoin Conference and what impact her potential appearance could have on the crypto industry and the upcoming election. However, her reported interest in the industry and Trump's continued support for it could signal a shift in the political landscape surrounding cryptocurrency.
