Vice President Kamala Harris's potential presidential campaign is reportedly considering hiring David Plouffe, a former Obama advisor and alleged mastermind behind Mark Zuckerberg's meddling in the 2020 election. Plouffe played a significant role in the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which funded the 2020 election with $400 million.

Plouffe was a senior advisor to former President Barack Obama from 2011 to 2013, following his role as campaign manager for Obama's successful 2008 campaign. His involvement in the 2020 election has been controversial, with accusations of using the funds to sway the election in favor of Joe Biden.

Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline questioned whether Zuckerberg's funds were used to influence the election outcome. Similarly, then-Wisconsin Special Counsel Michael Gableman accused Plouffe of leading Zuckerberg's efforts to elect Biden and defeat former President Donald Trump.

Despite these allegations, Plouffe has consistently denied any wrongdoing, framing voter suppression as a major threat to democracy. He has been active on social media, frequently criticizing Trump.

In response to the controversy, several states have enacted legislation barring or limiting Zuckerberg's funds, known as "Zuck Bucks." To date, 28 states have enacted such restrictions, including key swing states like Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

The potential hiring of Plouffe by Harris's campaign raises concerns about the influence of corporate money in politics. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has criticized Harris as a "product of the corporate control of our democracy."

As Harris's potential campaign continues to take shape, it remains to be seen how her team will address these concerns and whether Plouffe will indeed join her campaign.
