Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has expressed concerns about the lack of "pro-human" principles in competing AI companies. In an exclusive interview with Dr. Jordan B. Peterson at his Gigafactory Texas, Musk revealed that he hopes his AI model, Grok, will be the "most powerful in the world" by December.

Musk has been vocal about the leftist bent of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini, Google's AI tool. He has vowed to push back against leftist talking points being pushed by other AI companies. Musk also told Peterson that he "grew increasingly concerned" about AI safety when he discussed the topic with former Google CEO Larry Page.

Musk has also criticized Page's view that humans will eventually upload their minds to computers and become robots. "It's a crazy thing to not be pro-human," Musk said. "I mean, if humans are not going to be on team human, who is?"

Musk has also laid out a specific and aggressive timeline for his AI company's next models. He told Peterson that Grok 2 will be released next month and will be on par with ChatGPT's latest model. Grok 3, which is currently in training, is expected to be released by December and will be the most powerful AI in the world at that point.

Musk's comments come at a time when there is growing concern about the potential dangers of AI. Many experts have warned that AI could be used to spread misinformation, manipulate elections, and even cause physical harm. Musk's call for AI to be based on "pro-human" principles is a welcome development and a reminder that we must be vigilant in ensuring that AI is used for the benefit of humanity.
