As rumors swirl about Vice President Kamala Harris potentially replacing President Joe Biden in the 2024 race, a recent Politico-Morning Consult poll suggests that Harris may not have the support she needs to win. According to the poll, only three in five Democratic voters said they would vote for Harris, with just 25 percent of independent voters expressing support for her.

Harris' track record as vice president has been less than stellar, with many critics pointing to her lack of leadership qualities and inability to command respect. Her speeches have been described as forgettable and uninspiring, and she has been known to deflect criticism by laughing or blaming others.

In fact, Harris has been widely criticized for her handling of the border crisis, despite being appointed as the border czar. She has been accused of doing nothing to address the issue, and her failure to visit the border has only added fuel to the fire.

Harris' low approval ratings are not just limited to her time as vice president. NBC News previously reported that Harris received the worst vice presidential rating in the network's polling history, with a net -17 rating.

Despite these challenges, some Democrats are still hopeful that Harris can turn things around and win the 2024 election. However, many Republicans and conservatives are skeptical. Jason Miller, a close advisor to former President Donald Trump, insists that Harris is no match for Trump and his campaign will not change should Biden drop out.

"Nothing fundamentally changes," Miller said. "And the fact of the matter is whether it's Joe Biden or (Vice President) Kamala Harris, or any other radical liberal Democrats, they all share responsibility for the failure of destroying our economy and ruining our borders."

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) echoed similar sentiments, saying that Trump has enough momentum and supporters that no matter the Democratic nominee, the former president can beat him.

"As President Trump has said, he was, they had sort of prepared in the mindset that they would run against Biden, but it doesn't matter," Johnson said. "I mean, if they put Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket, she's the co-owner of all the policies, it's not any better. It doesn't matter who they run. Anybody that they would put in that place – this election is not about personalities; it's about policies and what it means to people."

As the 2024 election draws closer, it remains to be seen whether Harris can overcome her low approval ratings and win over voters. However, with Trump and his supporters ready to take on any Democratic nominee, Harris will have her work cut out for her.
