Carlson Backs Vance: Trump's Team vs. Media Establishment

Tucker Carlson, a prominent conservative commentator, has come out in strong support of U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), who was recently announced as former President Donald Trump's running mate.

Speaking at the Heritage Foundation's "Policy Fest" at the Republican National Committee in Milwaukee, Carlson made the case for Vance, saying that "every bad person I've ever met in a lifetime in Washington was aligned against J.D. Vance."

Carlson went on to say that he does not always think his side is right, but that he knows who is representing the other side. He described those who opposed Vance as people who are "only in it because they like, I don't know, killing other people in pointless wars."

Carlson's comments come as the relationship between Trump and Fox News has become strained in recent years. Fox News and Rupert Murdoch's other news entities forcefully backed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP primary this year, something that Trump and his allies have not forgotten.

The former president himself routinely slams Fox News, despite appearing on air occasionally. Trump has also criticized Murdoch for lobbying him to choose anyone but Vance as his running mate.

Despite this, Trump ultimately chose Vance as his running mate, listening to his two eldest sons, Don Jr. and Eric Trump, over Murdoch.

Carlson's support for Vance is a sign of the growing divide between Trump and the mainstream media. As the 2024 election approaches, it is clear that Trump and his allies will continue to face opposition from the media and the political establishment.

However, with strong support from conservative commentators like Carlson, Trump and Vance are well-positioned to take on their opponents and fight for the values that matter most to conservatives.
