JD Vance, Donald Trump's running mate, delivered a powerful speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, highlighting the struggles of working-class Americans and criticizing President Joe Biden's policies.

Vance, who grew up in Middletown, Ohio, spoke about the impact of globalist policies on small American towns like his own. He blamed Biden for supporting job-killing free trade deals and endless wars that sent American jobs overseas and children to war.

"When I was in the fourth grade, a career politician by the name of Joe Biden supported NAFTA, a bad trade deal that sent countless good American manufacturing jobs to Mexico," Vance said. "When I was a sophomore in high school, a career politician by the name of Joe Biden gave China a sweetheart trade deal that destroyed even more good middle-class jobs."

Vance also criticized Biden for supporting the disastrous invasion of Iraq. In contrast, he praised Donald Trump for opposing free trade agreements and the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan long before getting involved in politics.

"Somehow, a real estate developer from New York by the name of Donald Trump was right on all of these issues while Joe Biden was wrong," Vance said. "Donald Trump knew, even then, that we needed leaders who would put America first."

Vance also emphasized the importance of economic issues, such as energy independence and the border crisis. He slammed Biden for flooding America with cheap Chinese goods, cheap foreign labor, and deadly Chinese fentanyl. In contrast, he praised Trump for standing up for American companies and American industry.

"We're done importing foreign labor," Vance said. "We're going to fight for American citizens and their good jobs and their good wages."

Vance's speech was not all policy-focused, however. He also shared personal anecdotes about his family, including his pistol-packing Mamaw, who kept guns stashed around her house for home defense. He also praised his wife, his kids, and his mother, who was there watching her son speak.

"Ten years clean and sober," Vance gushed about his mother.

Vance's speech drew both laughs and tears from the crowd, and he made it clear that his vision was both personal and political—for his own children and for all Americans.

"We will, in short, make America great again," Vance said.

Throughout his speech, Vance emphasized unity and patriotism. He cited America's founding principles and the Constitution and added that America is also our "homeland."

"We have a big tent in this party on everything from national security to economic policy, but my message to you, my fellow Republicans, is we love this country and we are united to win," Vance said.

Vance's speech was a powerful reminder of the struggles of working-class Americans and the importance of putting America first. It was also a call to action for Republicans to unite and win in the upcoming election.
