Breaking News: Elon Musk and Bill Ackman Endorse Trump After Assassination Attempt

In a stunning turn of events, former President Donald Trump has secured major endorsements from Elon Musk and Bill Ackman following an assassination attempt on his life.

On Saturday afternoon, a man identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired multiple rounds at Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. The suspect, who had donated to far-left causes, was shot and killed by law enforcement after he fired a bullet that was literally an inch from being a potentially fatal hit on Trump.

Trump, who was tackled by Secret Service agents, got up with blood on his face and shouted "Fight! Fight! Fight!" to the thousands of supporters who had shown up.

Musk, who had previously donated a "sizable amount" of money to a super PAC backing Trump, took to Twitter to post a video of Trump's remarks to the crowd, saying "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery."

Musk also called for the resignation of the head of the Secret Service and the leader of the security detail, saying "Extreme incompetence or it was deliberate. Either way, the SS leadership must resign."

Ackman, who is friends with Musk, also posted on Twitter that he would formally endorse Trump, saying "I believe the upcoming presidential election is one of the most consequential elections in my lifetime so I am taking the proper time to articulate observations that I will share widely and for which I assume an important responsibility."

The endorsements come as Trump continues to lead in the polls against President Joe Biden, who has faced criticism from both sides of the aisle for his handling of the economy and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In a separate incident, Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania reportedly went off during a private meeting with other Democrats, saying they want to "f**k over a great president" over a bad debate. The incident occurred during a Democrat luncheon on Thursday, which was attended by three of Biden's senior aides.

According to Politico, Fetterman demanded that those in attendance tell him if they are sticking with Biden or not. "No more than four people signaled that they were," Politico reports.

The report said, "The majority of the Democratic caucus left Thursday’s meeting just as, if not more, concerned about the path the party is on with Biden atop the ticket."

The endorsements from Musk and Ackman are likely to further boost Trump's support among Republicans and conservatives, who have long seen him as a champion of their values and policies.

Trump, who has been critical of Biden's handling of the economy and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, is expected to use the assassination attempt to further his campaign message of law and order and national security.

The former president has long been a polarizing figure in American politics, but his support among Republicans and conservatives remains strong. With the endorsements from Musk and Ackman, Trump is poised to continue his dominance in the polls and potentially secure the Republican nomination for president in 2024.
