The political landscape is shifting as prominent Democrats express concern over President Joe Biden's ability to serve another term. In a recent op-ed for the New York Times, actor and longtime Democrat George Clooney voiced his support for Biden but also acknowledged the president's age and the challenges it presents.

Clooney wrote, "The Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big F-ing deal' Biden of 2010. He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."

This sentiment was echoed by ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos, who was caught on video saying, "I don't think [Biden] can serve four more years." Stephanopoulos later confirmed the authenticity of the video and issued a statement, saying, "I shouldn't have" answered the passerby's question.

The growing concern over Biden's ability to serve another term has led some Democrats to call for a new nominee. Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.), the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, recently called on Biden to end his candidacy, stating, "It is clear that President Biden is no longer able to meet this burden."

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has also expressed concern over Biden's ability to win in November, saying, "We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won't win the House, and we're going to lose the Senate."

The pressure on Biden to step down is mounting, with some Democrats suggesting that he is bluffing in an attempt to hold onto power. Nate Silver, the founder and editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight, wrote in a recent article that Biden is "probably bluffing" and that Democrats have the "nuclear option" of damaging Biden's chances of winning to the point where he has no leverage.

As the political landscape continues to shift, it remains to be seen whether Biden will heed the calls to step down or if Democrats will take drastic measures to ensure a new nominee. One thing is clear: the future of the Democratic Party is uncertain, and the stakes are high in the upcoming election.
