Desperate Democrats Consider Biden-Obama Ticket for 2024

A law professor from George Washington University has suggested a radical plan to salvage the Democratic Party's chances in the 2024 presidential election. As President Joe Biden's cognitive decline becomes increasingly apparent, the professor has proposed replacing Vice President Kamala Harris with former President Barack Obama as Biden's running mate.

The professor, John Banzhaf, argues that a Biden-Obama ticket would have a better chance of defeating former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election. Banzhaf cites constitutional scholars who dismiss concerns that the 12th and 22nd amendments bar a former two-term president from the vice presidency.

However, this proposal has been met with skepticism and criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. Many have pointed out that the idea is not only unconstitutional but also a desperate attempt by the Democrats to cling to power.

The suggestion comes as Biden faces mounting pressure to resign, even from within his own party. A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that 80 percent of Americans believe Biden is too old to serve in office. Additionally, a New York Times/Siena College poll released this week found that Trump has a six-point lead among likely voters compared to Biden post-debate.

Despite the growing concerns about Biden's health and mental fitness, some Democrats are still rallying behind him. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the chair of the Democrat Governors Association, attended a Biden event this week and described the president as "fit for office."

However, it remains to be seen whether the Democratic Party will be able to overcome the challenges posed by Biden's declining health and the growing popularity of Trump. As the election approaches, it is clear that the Democrats are facing an uphill battle in their efforts to retain the White House.
