Former President Donald Trump has expressed his support for the display of the Ten Commandments in public schools during a recent appearance at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C. Trump praised Louisiana's Republican governor for signing a new bill into law that mandates the display of the Ten Commandments in all public school classrooms.

During his remarks, Trump asked the crowd, "Who likes the Ten Commandments, by the way, going up in the school?" He went on to address those who oppose the idea, saying, "They think it’s such a bad thing. I said, ‘Has anyone read the… Thou Shalt Not Steal, Thou Shall…? I mean, has anybody read this incredible stuff? It’s just incredible, they don’t want it to go up. It’s a crazy world.”

Trump's endorsement of the Ten Commandments display was met with applause from the crowd. However, CNN seized upon the opportunity to create a controversial soundbite, hoping to corner former Republican presidential candidate and Trump's former Housing and Urban Development (HUD) secretary, Ben Carson.

Carson was interviewed by CNN on Saturday and was asked about Trump's comments. However, Carson refused to be ensnared in their trap, emphasizing that "This isn’t about President Trump. This is about what is happening to the moral fiber of our nation." Carson pointed out the crucial role that such moral principles play in fostering respect and good conduct among individuals, especially at a young age.

Carson's logical stance left the CNN host flustered and underscored the network's unfortunate decline in journalistic integrity. This incident serves as another glaring example of how CNN's commitment to "facts first" has been replaced with a questionable practice of selective reporting, which biases its coverage towards a predetermined narrative.
