More than half of Jesuit Catholic universities promote 'Pride Month' despite Church teachings.

In a recent analysis by The College Fix, it was found that 15 out of 27 American Jesuit universities promoted LGBT "Pride Month" this June.

The universities that showed their support for the homosexual and transgender agenda are: Canisius University, College of the Holy Cross, Creighton University, Georgetown University, Gonzaga University, Le Moyne College, Loyola University Chicago, Loyola University New Orleans, Rockhurst University, Saint Louis University, Seattle University, the University of San Francisco, and Xavier University.

Fordham University and Santa Clara University also made the list of 15 schools by either reposting a campus ministry Twitter post or changing the background of its logo on Twitter.

Boston College, while not posting in support of Pride Month on its main social media accounts, did post on its Twitter alumni page.

The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual activity is "contrary to the natural law," and that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Several Catholic leaders have criticized the universities for promoting Pride Month. Nathanael Blake, a postdoctoral fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, said that Jesuit universities that support homosexual conduct are "proclaiming that the teachings of the Catholic Church are irrelevant and need not be taken seriously."

John Ritchie, Student Action Director for Tradition, Family, and Property, also criticized the Jesuit universities. "Jesuit universities that favor homosexual sin lead souls away from God," he said. "Celebrating the sin of pride offends the Sacred Heart of Jesus, destroys Catholic education, and undermines basic moral values."

Ritchie also questioned if St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, would recognize the universities started by his order. "Would Saint Ignatius recognize the woke Jesuit universities of today? I don't think so," he said.

The promotion of Pride Month by Jesuit universities has caused concern among some Catholics that it might confuse Catholics about the Church's teachings on homosexuality.

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities was contacted for comment, but did not respond.

The Fix reached out to Fordham and Georgetown for comment, but did not receive a response.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
