Secret Service Deletes Video of Biden Dog Bite: Cover-Up or Compliance?

The Secret Service has reportedly deleted a video of President Joe Biden's dog Commander biting a Secret Service agent, raising questions about transparency and accountability.

According to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the Daily Mail, the video would have shown Commander running at a high rate of speed and jumping toward the agent in the East Wing's Kennedy Garden, leaving a "deep bite" on the individual's left arm "that reportedly needed stitches."

The incident reportedly occurred on June 15, 2023, and resulted in East Wing Tours being stopped for approximately 20 minutes due to blood from the incident being on the floors in the area of the Booksellers.

However, the Secret Service claims that the video was deleted in compliance with federal retention standards. In a letter to the Daily Mail, Secret Service Freedom of Information Act Officer Kevin Tyrrell wrote that "Due to Secret Service retention standards, the above mentioned file(s) has been destroyed."

The incident has raised concerns about transparency and accountability within the Secret Service. Some have questioned why the video was deleted, while others have pointed out that the Secret Service has a history of destroying records that could be embarrassing or damaging to the agency.

This is not the first time that President Biden's dogs have been involved in incidents. There have been at least 25 documented attacks by Commander and Major, the Bidens' previous German Shepherd.

The incident has also highlighted the double standard that exists when it comes to media coverage of incidents involving dogs owned by politicians. While the media has largely ignored the attacks by Commander and Major, there is no doubt that if a dog owned by a Republican president had been involved in similar incidents, there would have been widespread outrage and calls for the dog to be removed from the White House.

The fact that the Secret Service has destroyed the video of Commander biting the agent only adds to the sense of a cover-up. The American people deserve to know the truth about what happened, and the Secret Service should be held accountable for its actions.

In the meantime, it is clear that President Biden's dogs pose a serious threat to the safety and security of the White House and its occupants. It is time for the Bidens to take responsibility for their pets and ensure that they are properly trained and supervised at all times.
