Emory University students have passed a no confidence vote against the school’s president, Gregory Fenves, amidst anti-Israel protests resulting in over two dozen arrests. The referendum, organized by the Emory Student Government Association, saw 73% of participating students in favor of the motion. The Faculty Senate for Emory College of Arts and Sciences also voted 358-119 for a "Motion of No Confidence and Demand for Redress" against President Fenves. The President defended the arrests during the protests, stating his goal was to prevent disruptions to campus activities. Additionally, a convicted felon from North Carolina was arrested at the campus during the anti-Israel demonstrations for carrying weapons.
