A Waymo autonomous vehicle was intentionally set on fire in San Francisco's Chinatown after it was vandalized by a group of people. The incident occurred on Saturday night when the vehicle was surrounded by about 10 to 15 people who vandalized it, broke the window, and threw a firework inside, which set the vehicle on fire. The car was not transporting any passengers, and no injuries were reported. The fire department arrived at the scene, but the vehicle was already incinerated. Waymo is working closely with local safety officials to respond to the situation.
