Utah Middle School Has Students Eat Bugs for Climate Change Assignment: Outrage Ensues

Are you ready for yet another story of ridiculousness in our education system? Hold on to your hats, because a middle school in Utah's Nebo School District took it upon themselves to give sixth-grade students insects to eat last week, all in the name of "saving the environment." According to this Fox News Digital article, the school claimed that cows were "killing the world" and that if humans ate more insects for protein, we'd be better off. Excuse me, what?!

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't want to eat bugs. And neither did Amanda Wright's daughter. Wright spoke out against what she believed was "indoctrination" into a "dark climate change religion." The assignment didn't allow for views opposing the idea that humans should eat insects instead of cows. Some students were even incentivized with extra credit if they ate the insects.

Can you believe that the teacher allegedly said, "there's only one right answer" in response to a student questioning why they couldn't state their own opinion? And the teacher wasn't even aware of any downsides to eating bugs, which makes me question the training and education system in our school districts.

The district has since apologized for any misconceptions and stated that they want to be partners in educating children. But let's be real: this is just another example of the ridiculousness that's happening in our education system. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
