A shocking incident has taken place in Urbandale, Iowa where a funeral home worker found a woman who was thought to be dead, still alive. The resident of the Glen Oaks Alzheimer’s Special Care Center was pronounced dead by a licensed practical nurse but a funeral home employee found her chest moving and she gasped for air.
The woman was taken to a hospital but died two days later.
The Department of Inspections and Appeals has issued two state violations to the nursing home worth $10,000.
