Biden's Secret Service stonewalls FOIA request by America First Legal following assassination attempt on President Trump.

The Secret Service, under the Biden administration, is facing criticism for refusing to expedite a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by America First Legal following the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

The incident occurred last Saturday when a 20-year-old gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, climbed onto a roof and took several shots at Trump and rallygoers in Butler, Pennsylvania.

One Trump supporter was fatally shot, and two other rallygoers were wounded, one critically.

A Senate briefing revealed that the Secret Service had identified Crooks as suspicious 10 minutes before Trump took the stage.

However, nearly a week later, the Secret Service has yet to provide an explanation for the incident.

America First Legal filed an expedited FOIA request with the Secret Service seeking reports, documents, and communications related to the assassination attempt against President Trump.

However, Biden's Department of Homeland Security denied America First Legal's request to expedite the process.

In a letter to AFL, Biden's DHS stated that their request for expedited treatment had been denied because there was no "threat to the life or safety of anyone" and no "urgency to inform the public about government activity."

This decision has raised concerns among conservatives, who question the Biden administration's commitment to transparency and accountability.

The incident has also highlighted the ongoing tensions between the Biden administration and former President Trump, who has been a vocal critic of the current administration's policies.

As the investigation into the assassination attempt continues, many conservatives are calling for a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident and for the Secret Service to be held accountable for any lapses in security.

In the meantime, the Biden administration's handling of the FOIA request has only added to the growing concerns about its commitment to transparency and accountability.
