Convicted Murderer Sentenced to 15-50 Years for Shooting in Pennsylvania Parking Lot

Sheldon Reece, 28, was convicted of third-degree murder, carrying a concealed gun without a license, and two counts of recklessly endangering another person. He originally had been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Sean E. “Shizz” Jackson, 34, but the charge was changed as part of a plea deal.

His trial had been repeatedly continued since 2020. A judge sentenced him last week to consecutive sentences that add up to a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 50 years for the four convictions.

Jackson was talking to a man in a car in the parking lot of Double D’s at 526 South 19th Street before 1 a.m. when police say Reece confronted him and shot him.

Police believe the man in the car was mad at Jackson because he previously took his car. Reece was a friend of the man in the car, prosecutors said.... (Read more)
