A passenger named Shante Trumpet on a train in Washington DC was able to disarm a gunman, 31-year-old Trotman, who allegedly shot and killed a 64-year-old transit employee, Robert Cunningham. Trotman boarded the train after the shooting and threatened other passengers. Trumpet managed to grab the gun from Trotman and throw it onto the tracks before he was tackled to the ground by other passengers. Trotman was arrested by the police and charged with murder. Trumpet is being hailed as a hero for her bravery and quick thinking in disarming the dangerous situation.
