The Trump administration claimed that the Little Sisters of the Poor's victory at the Supreme Court Wednesday concerning a contraception mandate was a win of its own over President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany in a statement praised the court for siding against the "overly rigid and misguided efforts" of the Obama administration to require the Little Sisters to provide contraceptive access in their healthcare plans. McEnany contrasted Obama with Trump, who she said "has sought to lift burdens on religious exercise" for people in every religion "since day one."
